Open Houses
The Memorial Chapel hosts monthly open houses for you to come see the spaces (listed on the bottom of our homepage). If you can't make it during those dates, please reach out to schedule a free tour with our office.

Why Come? The Memorial Chapel is a multi-faceted campus facility, and is an ideal location for concerts, lectures, meetings, convocations, commencements and everything in between.

Who Will Be Here? A member of our staff, will be here to give you a tour, show you where guests will park, and answer any questions relating to set-up/arrival/departure and decor.
How To RSVP? This event is absolutely free but we ask that if you plan on attending, you give us a call at 301-314-9866 or email (chapel@umd.edu).

Organists
If you plan to have the historic Moeller pipe organ played for your Main Chapel Wedding, we recommend that you contract with one of the Memorial Chapel's approved organists. See the Organists tab for more info.
Marriage Licenses
According to state law, marriage licenses must be obtained in the county where your wedding ceremony is performed.

Reception Sites
The Memorial Chapel has limited space for receptions; however there are several locations on or near the University of Maryland campus that are popular reception venues. Feel free to contact these venues directly for more information.
