The Memorial Chapel is proud of its historic Moeller pipe organ. If you plan to have the organ played for your Main Chapel wedding, we highly recommend that you contract with one of these organists. Organists are listed alphabetically.

Dr. William D. Powell
Current director of music and organist at Glade United Church of Christ in Walkersville, Maryland, traditional choir director and organist at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Walkersville, and assistant organist at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Frederick. In addition to his church positions, Bill is an adjunct instructor of piano at Hood College, teaches private piano and organ lessons. Classical repertoire.

Dr. Elizabeth Dumas Schneider
Juilliard graduate and Colleague of the American Guild of Organists, Elizabeth has performed, taught, and led church music since 1987. Extensive classical repertoire on both organ and piano. Organist at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson received a Bachelor's degree is classical piano performance and a Master's degree in jazz, both from the University of Maryland School of Music. While a junior he won a position in the President's Own US Marine Band, where he continues to serve by playing al styles of music on the piano, keyboard, harpsichord, and the accordion for the White House and all around the DC Metro area. Russell also serves as a keyboardist at Alexandria Free Methodist Church.
