Rehersals

bride and groom

How to Prepare for your Rehearsal

At the start of your rehearsal you will meet with the Chapel event manager(s) that has been assigned to your event. They will note which of the Chapel altarpieces you've decided to use and diagram how you would like them arranged. Our staff will have the set-up in place at the start of your reservation on your wedding day.

Here are some tips that will help your rehearsal run smoothly and in the time allotted:

  • Choose the altarpieces you wish to use in advance (can be viewed during a tour).
  • Go over set-up of the altar and altar area with your officiant and other involved parties prior to the rehearsal
  • Return the Final Information Form that the Chapel will send to you 6 weeks prior to your wedding
  • Set an agenda of what you need to cover while keeping in mind your 90-minute time limit.
  • Designate a point person that will serve as the primary contact for the Chapel event manager on the wedding day.
  • Ensure that your wedding party arrives on time. Early access will not be granted.
  • Create a agenda for the staff with songs noted for the ceremony.
  • Use the photos and measurements on this site and in your wedding packet to assist you.

If you have a Thursday rehearsal, remember to obtain day-of parking permits from the Chapel office for your wedding party.

Event Managers

While all of our Chapel event managers are helpful and knowledgeable and available the entire time you are at the Chapel, they are not professional wedding coordinators. They are available primarily for "backstage" logistical help, i.e.: keys, lights, sound system, and set-up of Chapel Equipment.

Scheduling Your Rehearsal

All wedding reservations at Memorial Chapel include a 90 minute rehearsal on the Thursday or Friday evening before your wedding.

  • Main Chapel rehearsals are held at: 5:30PM, 7:00PM and 8:30PM
  • Garden Chapel rehearsals are held at: 5:00PM, 6:30PM and 8:00PM

You can schedule your rehearsal when you make your wedding reservation or anytime after. It is encouraged that you schedule your rehearsal as soon as possible to ensure that you get the day and time that work best for you as rehearsals are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rehearsals are required for all weddings held in the Main or Garden Chapel, with the exception of our Small Wedding Package.
